It’s rainy today in the city and I’m thinking about my grandmother’s garden, or the way my father tends to his plants. I’m thinking about community ecosystems, creative systems, the ecosystems of our own bodies and spirits.
I feel that plants offer us endless lessons, and these are just a few of those musings. I feel like when faced with large changes, societal or self, I tune into the lessons provided by elders and nature, lessons that are always available and are constantly revisited.
I hope your flowers bloom today, in whatever form that may look like, whether roots grounding quietly into the earth or leaves curled inward.
